Back dated - Sharing is caring part 2.. ;-) - tips 4 pa n ma bringing kids to Universal Studio Singapore! – (Sendiri Pandu)

"Assalamualaikum pa n ma di luar sana. Last tips saya highlight kan sudah hampir 6 bulan usianya. Alhamdulillah, 080511 yang lepas, saya, suami, adik ipar dan sepupu belah suami menghabiskan cuti hujung minggu kami di Universal Studio Singapura (USS). USS ialah lebih kurang mcm sebuah taman tema. Untuk mereka yang berkeinginan membawa anak-anak ke taman tema yang mempunyai keluasan yang agak besar serta tarikan yang tersendiri berbanding pusat membeli belah biasa, diharap tips di bawah ini dapat membantu :-

1) Beli tiket online. Ia jimat! Ia mudah! Ia murah! (even 1 day earlier). Selalu lah tgk website USS (http://www.rwsentosa.com/Attractions/UniversalStudiosSingapore). Boleh dikatakan tetiap bulan ada promosi yang berbeza-beza.

2) Bagi yang berada di negeri Johor, dinasihatkan bertolak lah selepas subuh untuk sampai awal ke destinasi (Second Link is advisable!). Cepat sampai , banyak benda boleh buat. Kalau outsiders, better stay 1 night di Johor, then esoknya mulakan perjalanan. Pastikan isi kad putih siap-siap sebelum masuk untuk mengelakkan kena tahan kat imegresen Singapore dan tunggu hampir 40 minit baru leh masuk. Huh! For 1st time car get in to Singapore, bring along your road tax coupon and car grant. Buy autopass card (ala-ala kad touch n go) for toll and parking payment in Singapore. Parking for 1 day at USS will cost you $26.

3) Untuk perjalanan sehari, boleh bawa 1 beg - susu+thermos+3 botol (papa pegang), satu lagi beg - pampers+baju salinan pa,ma n anak-anak+tuala (mama pegang).

4) For those with 2 kids – twin stroller is highly recommended with kids fan. No kid’s fans for stroller are available in the USS. Kalau hari panas, sangat panas. Kesian anak kalau xde kipas stroller. Sorry ADAMAYA, next time okay ;-)

5) Bites for baby jgn lupa untuk lekakan anak-anak. HARUS!

6) Place yang kanak-kanak between 2-5 years old bleh main dan join JUST Treasure Hunters, Accelarator, Shrek 4-D Adventures, Donkey Live, Magic Potion Spin, Waterworld and King Julien’s Beach Party-Go-Round. Below 2 ONLY can join Treasure Hunters, Shrek 4-D Adventures and Donkey Live.

7) Elak naik Battlestar Galactica awal. Better naik last skali bila nak balek sbb kalau yg tak tahan, naik awal, prut senak, nafas tercungap-cungap, lari mood nak main benda benda lain..tak gituh Che Yong!

8) Tengah tengah hari best masuk Jurassic Park Rapid Adventure. Kasik basah habess..lepas tuh salin baju, makan!

9) Recommended restaurant to take lunch is Marty’s Casa Del Wild at Madagascar area. Ia sedap! Ia banyak! Tempatnya sejuk! Dan yang penting , Ia Halal!!!!. For those who brings 6th month baby and above yang baru nak blajar makan, 7 Eleven kat main entrance ada jual Mash Potatoes Make it Yourself yang sangat sedap dan murah. Cuma 1 Singapore Dollar.

10) Bawak siap-siap payung tak kira hari panas atau hari hujan. Again, kalau panas, mmg panas. Kalau hujan, mmg hujan.

11) Kalau nak rasa naik semua, sistem penggiliran antara Pa n Ma untuk main perlu dilaksanakan. Sorang naik, sorang jaga anak. Tapi x syok kan tak dpt skali ngan hubby or honey?

12) It is good kalau bleh bawak another accompany such as cousins, BIL, SIL yang bleh harap again, yang boleh diharap untuk pantau anak-anak dan barang-barang. Big credits to Ucu Nid, Che Yong n Uncle Acidd Bieber for helping us all the ways.

13) Last one but the MOST important one, there’s no such praying room or surau in USS. The best place to pray is in the baby’s changing room. It’s very clean; just bring your compass and praying materials. Bawak masuk anak, solat sekali dalam tu. Gilir-gilir dengan suami.


To be honest, kalau pa n ma niat nak enjoy all the rides and show at USS, bringing kids under 7 years old is very tiring and challenging either during hot or rainy day. It is advisable for both pa n ma ONLY to go there and enjoy, make the day as your so called “honeymoon 1 day” without kids. But, for those who just want to have leisure, relax and to see that place, bringing kids is a kind of exciting and memorable day for a family weekend activity. So, what am I planning, next time Encik Firdaus Muhammad, kite gi bedua je laa eik…bleh naik roller coaster kepala ke bawah…hahahahhaha…

These tips may imply to some people, but may not to other person. It does vary individually. You are the one who knows your own kids. If your kids can be controlled, it will be a great day to your family! Otherwise, you will need to arrange an alternatives how to make your family trip to USS as one of the memorable visit ever after. For those who has been to any other huge theme parks such us Hong Kong Disneyland, Paris Disneyland or Walt Disney World Resort Florida, don’t make such comparison as USS is just too small to be compared ;-)
